Michael Gitlin

Michael Gitlin (b. 1943) is a prominent sculptor and artist whose work is included in the collections of the Guggenheim, MoMA (NYC), and the Stedelijk Museum (AMS). A key figure among Israeli minimalist artists active in 1970s New York, his work navigates between dimensions and techniques, and he is known for using paper and wood as primary materials. The included works in GOP reflect the abstract, graphic qualities of his 1990s work. Gitlin has exhibited internationally, including at the Israel Museum, MuKHA (Antwerp), and Documenta 6 (Kassel).
