Dorit Figovich Goddard

Dorit Figovich Goddard (b. 1958) is an Israeli artist and a graduate of HaMidrasha – Faculty of the Arts. Her recent work focuses on drawing, using both classical and self-made materials such as diluted ink in seawater and rust-infused water, which gradually alter the surface and act as foreign elements — materially and thematically. A 2019 recipient of the Ministry of Culture’s Prize for Encouragement of the Arts, she often merges human figures with architectural landscapes, introducing motifs that evoke a tension between strangeness and tenderness.
