Yair Garbuz
Yair Garbuz (born 1945) is a painter, writer, journalist, satirist, and activist known for blending American pop art influences with local themes. Early in his career, he was associated with the "Want of Matter" style (Sara Breitberg-Semel, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 1986)– focusing on raw, simple materials. Since his first solo exhibition in 1967, Garbuz has garnered multiple awards and recognitions for his work, and exhibited in museums and galleries across Israel and internationally.
