Tinker

Tinker (b. 1977, Haifa) is an artist living in the Arava, the Negev Desert (southern Israel). She founded the Arava International Film Festival with her spouse, and was one of the founders of the ‘Artists’ Village’ in Tzukim. Her featured works were made during a dinner while avoiding social small talk, using available materials, such as wine and beetroot. Her practice blends intuitive drawing and diary-biographical approach, often depicting female hybrid creatures and exploring themes of birth, sex, and violence.
