Pinchas Cohen Gan

Pinchas Cohen Gan (b. 1942, Morocco) is recognized for his politically and socially engaged work. Alongside his practice, he conducted theoretical studies on critical aspects of aesthetics, sociology, and philosophy. His work is often associated with politically charged projects, themes of foreignness, immigration, and fragile mental states, while reflecting on Israeli society and norms. He received notable awards, including the Sandberg Award (1979) and Lifetime Achievement awards from the Dizengoff Prize (1995), and the Israeli Ministry of Culture (2005).
