Igael Tumarkin
Igael Tumarkin (1933-2021) was a leading Israeli sculptor and painter known for his dynamic and controversial works. Born in Dresden and raised in Israel, he gained recognition for his innovative use of found objects, public art, painting and printmaking— reflecting on the Israeli socio-political landscape, while integrating critical representations of the Israeli Sabra (Tzabar). His works were exhibited at esteemed international institutions, including the Jewish Museum in New York, and are held in prominent art collections.
