Avner Ben-Gal
Avner Ben-Gal (1966–2024) was an Israeli painter based in Tel Aviv. His works explore imaginary, often apocalyptic worlds, conveying a sense of strangeness and tension. They were featured in notable venues, including the Venice Biennale (2003), as well as in solo exhibitions at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2002, 2009), Museum für Gegenwartskunst (2008), and Aspen Art Museum (2007).
